The best way to begin is to call ahead or walk in and have a consultation with an artist. Some people already know what they want and all that needs to be done is to set up an appointment date and time. The artist may ask for a deposit (applies twd tattoo cost) to reserve a time slot but, if possible, she may serve you the same day.

Those who need more help with the design decisions may need a longer consultation during which the artist and client discuss the specific needs and goals of the tattoo project. Consultations are free but the artist may require a deposit or fee for any custom design work which must be completed before a session date is settled on. Turn around time for design work varies with the workload of the particular artist.
